Chapter Summary
The Watsons go back to Flint. Momma and Dad are worried about Kenny. Kenny doesn't talk a lot and disappears for hours. Kenny hides behind the couch because the family's pets get better when they hide there. Kenny thinks that magic powers will help him feel better after the bombing. Byron figures out where Kenny has been hiding. One day, Byron drags Kenny into the bathroom. Kenny starts crying because he ran away from the church instead of looking for Joey. Byron tells Kenny that there are no magic powers or a Wool Pooh. Byron tells Kenny that his family loves him very much.
